explore what makes us differentWe have limited spaces at our barn, which is tucked away down a private drive in the grounds of James’ home, right in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside. It’s well off the beaten track, close to York, Castle Howard, and the North Yorkshire moors.
We are looking to accommodate like-minded people with a passion for classic and collectible cars and Bikes.
What else is available?
We aim to provide more than just a storage solution. Onsite, we have a workshop for general servicing and maintenance, helping to keep your vehicle in top condition during its stay.
For more specialised needs, we’ve partnered with a team of trusted experts to offer:

Standard features for all vehicles
- The Mezz deck for Cars & Bikes provides an extra level of secure storage in our climate-controlled, custom-built facility offers ultimate security and peace of mind.
- Upon initial drop-off, complimentary valet service is provided.
- Flexible collection and return appointments are available.
- Upon arrival, each vehicle has a multi point check and photographed from every angel for your records
- Before admission to the Vault, vehicles can fully air-dry to prevent moisture-related issues.
- Drip trays are placed beneath each vehicle to monitor fluid leaks and ensure proper maintenance.
- All vehicles are insure up to £50,000 there after a surcharge will apply
- To prevent flat spotting, tires are rolled at least once a month, and vehicles are started and run to temperature at least once a month.
- 24/7 surveillance cameras provide continuous monitoring and security for all vehicles in our facility.
A £45 fee is due with the first month’s payment to get your spot set up and ready to go!

What is included?
Location
Located down a private drive in the grounds of James’ home for maximum privacy and security, accessed only by electric locked gates and protected by a comprehensive CCTV, intruder, and fire alarm system. The facility is discreet, secure, and attended daily, ensuring your vehicle is always kept under careful supervision. Stored in an insulated barn on a custom-built mezzanine floor, each car is accessed via a secure lift system.
Climate
This climate-controlled Dehumidified facility is heated with environmentally friendly biomass boilers and solar panels, creating the ideal conditions to protect your car while being kind to the planet.
Arrival
When you drop off your car for the first time, it receives a complimentary valet and can fully air-dry before storage. The battery is connected to a conditioner, and a drip tray placed under the vehicle to monitor for fluid
leaks. We also ensure that your car’s tires are rolled monthly to prevent flat spots and start the engine to warm it up (if required), keeping it in excellent condition.
Insurance
Vehicles are insured to a value of £50,000. Any vehicle worth more than this will be charged a small excess 0.1% of the vehicle value per month to ensure full cover. Each vehicle is logged into our company database for your peace of mind. You can access your car whenever possible with flexible collection and return appointments. With 24/7 surveillance and constant attention to detail, you can rest easy knowing your vehicle is safe and cared for.
What is the incoming process?
We ask for 24-hour notice for collection or drop off; there is ample parking for your everyday car while you go for a road trip. On your return, to prepare your vehicle for entry to the barn, a £45 valet and air drying is performed to ensure the facility remains clean. Your car will also be photographed when dropped off to record any existing marks or damage and all oil and fluid levels recorded and relayed for your records.

At the Car Vault, we are passionate about the security and protection of your Classic. That’s why the facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art entry system with red care cover and CCTV, enabling us to track every coming and going.
The access lift to the Mezz Deck is controlled by a security keypad, which only James can access, offering an extra layer of security. These systems work together to create a secure, worry-free environment where your car is safeguarded against every eventuality.
